Wingecarribee Virtual Energy Pilot
What is the Wingecarribee Virtual Energy Network Pilot?
The Wingecarribee Virtual Energy Network (VEN) pilot is a cutting-edge initiative designed to revolutionise the way we think about and use energy within our community. By harnessing the power of local solar generators, this platform enables the sharing of excess or stored dispatchable energy among participants via the existing infrastructure of poles and wires. This innovative approach not only supports those generating more solar power than they need but also offers a sustainable energy solution for community members with little to no generation capacity.
Through Enosi’s Powertracer software, the Wingecarribee VEN pilot empowers solar producers to decide where their surplus energy is distributed and at what price. It also provides consumers with the freedom to choose their energy source, promoting operational cost savings and the utilisation of renewable energy across the community.
